Booking Reservations

It is desirable that all appointments are pre booked in advance as it cannot be guaranteed that appointments will always be available at short notice. The minimum age for all treatments is 16 years old. All bookings will require a form to be sent to you via email, filled in and returned to secure the booking. This does involve taking card details. These details are stored in a secure manner on your booking in accordance to GDPR, nobody can see or access any of the details you give. No payment will be taken from the card unless the appointment is cancelled within 48 hours of the allocated slot, then a 50% charge will be incurred. Any no shows will be charged 100% of the service charge.

Checking In

In order for all relevant forms to be filled in  prior to treatment (so that full treatment time can be given) it is recommended that you arrive 10 minutes before your appointment time (30 minutes for The Sycamores). In cases where clients are late, treatment times may be reduced (with no reduction in treatment price). 

Treatment times

Appointment times listed include time for consultation, treatment, client preparation and aftercare, and as such are approximate only.

Consultations

Consultations are compulsory for every treatment. Every client is asked to complete a consultation form if they have not previously had the same treatment at The Beauty Room or The Sycamores. This is discussed with you, prior to treatment in all cases.

Aftercare Etiquette

Following all treatments you will be issued with aftercare advice. It is strongly advised you follow the guidance to ensure you gain maximum benefit from your treatment. The Beauty Room and The Sycamores will not be held responsible in cases where aftercare has not been followed.

Smoking

Smoking is prohibited in both premises.

Mobile phones

It is kindly requested that clients turn their phones, and other electronic devices onto silent mode. To ensure their treatment and other clients treatments are not disturbed.

Cancellation of Appointments

We operate a 48 hour cancellation policy:

If you are unable to attend your appointment The Beauty Room and The Sycamores request that you give at least 48 hours notice.

Appointments cancelled within the 48 hour notice period, will be charged 50% of the service amount.

Charges will need to be paid in full prior to any further appointment bookings

Missed Appointments

Will be followed up and 100% of the treatment charge will be charged. All subsequent appointments will require full payment at the time of booking. This payment will be non-refundable and the appointment cannot be changed or moved without our agreement.

Privacy Policy

All information collected from you is held secure and confidential. No information is passed to a third party.

Appointment Confirmation

I may contact you, using one or more of your chosen methods of communication in order to confirm and remind you of your appointment.

Prices and Appointment Availability

All prices are subject to change without prior notice. The range of treatments available is subject to availability.

Patch Testing

Patch tests are compulsory a minimum of 48hrs prior to having certain treatments or if you have not had a treatment in the last 6 months at this salon.

Health Concerns, Doctors Supervision and Pregnancy 

If you have any health concerns, are under doctor supervision or are pregnant, then please let me know of this when booking your appointment. In some cases, a doctor’s note may be required before treatment can commence. Special precautions must be made if you are pregnant, so please ensure you make me aware of this when booking, we also do not recommend using hot tub and sauna during pregnancy.

Valuables – we advise you not to bring valuables with you. All items of jewellery must be removed for all treatments and use of facilities. We are unable to accept responsibility for looking after your personal belongings and for any loss or damage incurred.

What do I wear in treatments?

You may wear your own underwear/ swimwear. If swimwear is damp we do provide disposable underwear for both men and women.

Age Requirements – no person/s under the age of 16 years is permitted to use the hot tub/ sauna or have treatments. 

Relaxation

Our relaxation room is for just that….relaxing. Complimentary iced water is provided, so please help yourself. We respectfully request spa guests to keep noise level at a minimum so as not to disturb other spa visitors receiving treatments.

Towels, robes and flip flops

We provide towels, robes and flip flops at The Sycamores but you are welcome to bring your own. 

Swimwear

Please bring your own swimwear for use of the hot tub at The Sycamores. Swimwear must be worn at all times.
